rel = ‘prev’

rel = ‘prev’ is an HTML tag that points to the URL of the page before the currently displayed page, and is a method to make google correctly recognize content that spans multiple pages.

It is generally referred to as pagination settings, and can indicate to Google that the specified URL is the content of the previous page.
Note that prev is an abbreviation for previous. It is not an abbreviation for preview.

Reference example:
<link rel = ‘prev’ href = ‘http: //www.example.com/page1’ />
